Save the people of Sudan|Poverty and Abuse
The Issue
Sudan is a Country in NorthEast Africa with a population of over 49 million. 15 million of them are in need of help, 11 of that 15 million are facing hunger. One third of the population is starving. The country has so much inflation, making it almost impossible for people to afford food. As of March 2023, 14.8 million households could not afford the local food baskets.
Not only is the country in extreme poverty, but is also facing unfair, outstanding levels of violence. Over 700 people were killed and 14,000 injured by this outburst. Multiple attacks on the country have left people without homes as well. The people of Sudan have always been treated with disrespect by the government, not allowing sex out of marriage and punishing single pregnant women, sentencing homosexuals to at least 5 years in prison for being a part of the LGBTQ community. This causes people of the country to protest against the unfair treatment they are facing, forcing them to be abused and punished.
With our help these people can be sent food, water and money. People in this country are starving everyday, unable to get a hold of food for their families. The more people that are aware of this issue the more of a chance the people of Sudan will have at a chance for a good life.
By taking one small step and using our freedom for the greater good we might be able to feed a starving child, give a family a roof over their heads and a place to sleep at night, or give somebody a chance to be free. By signing and sharing we can spread awareness to this issue. This is the start of change.
