Save the Palestinian Flag in the Honors College
The Issue
The Palestinian flag in the Honors College at Texas State University was initially put up by members of the student-led Pan African Action Committee (PAAC) in the multicultural center they established to celebrate diversity and give representation to oppressed groups. The multicultural was made to designate a space for minority and under-represented communities on campus.
In the face of the war on Gaza, the administration wants to take it down if they cannot put an Israeli flag next to it. We believe that given the context of current events, now is an inappropriate time to place an Israeli flag in a space designated to represent minority and oppressed groups.
Please vote to keep the Palestinian flag alone at this time. Thank you!
