After almost 100 years of providing entertainment to the town of Weston-super-Mare, Odeon plan to close the building on June 5th.

This is a campaign to make the Odeon in Weston-super-Mare an independent community cinema and creative hub, to be used by the entire community as a vibrant and inclusive space that celebrates the power of film and entertainment. Our mission is to provide accessible, diverse, and enriching experiences that unite and inspire individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

We believe that film and entertainment have the power to educate, inspire, and challenge perspectives. We will champion an inclusive and thought-provoking lineup of films that explore a wide range of genres, cultures, and viewpoints. Through partnerships with local filmmakers, artists, and performers, we will also showcase homegrown talent and provide a platform for aspiring creatives to showcase their work.

We will also provide a music, comedy and drama performance space, a cultural conferencing opportunity, a networking location and potential retail space for local artists, creators and producers. 

We will strive to enhance the economic vitality of Weston-super-Mare. By creating job opportunities, supporting local suppliers, and attracting tourism, the Odeon will contribute to the sustainable growth of the town and its surrounding businesses.

Through our commitment to community, culture, and economic development, the Odeon in Weston-super-Mare aims to be a beacon of inspiration, entertainment, and social impact. By becoming a Community Interest Company, we will ensure that the Odeon remains a beloved and thriving institution that serves the needs and aspirations of the community it proudly represents.
