The NJSIAA is poised to terminate the annual New Jersey Tournament of Champions event for lacrosse.  New Jersey high school lacrosse has a long history and tradition of playing to one, true statewide Champion.  It is a special event and the envy of many other states and schools.  The TOC event enables all schools, regardless of Public or Private status or the size of the school enrollment, to compete on a level playing field in a final playoff event, culminating with one, deserving team winning the Championship.

The lacrosse season is lengthened only by a single week, to fulfill this tournament.
