Who is Silvana?

Silvana is a Christian girl with an intellectual disability. According to medical diagnosis, her mental age is that of an 8-year-old child.

Silvana is 17 years old, which means she is also a minor.

What happened to Silvana?

A man named Saher Mohamed Ragab, an adult Muslim, exploited Silvana’s condition and lack of awareness. He sexually assaulted her, then abducted her, claimed that she was his wife, and forcibly detained her in his home against her will and against the will of her family.

The legal situation and the injustice committed

When Silvana’s father filed a complaint with the police, the response was:

“Your daughter is now Muslim, and this is her husband,” referring to Saher Mohamed Ragab, who abducted and assaulted her.

This raises a serious question:

How can a minor be married? Is this not a violation of the law worldwide, as well as the Egyptian Constitution?

How can a minor with an intellectual disability be left with the person who assaulted her, allowing him to continue his crime without deterrence?

Here we see a clear violation of constitutional provisions by the Egyptian police and an injustice without limits.

The family’s legal action

The father and the family went to court and submitted official documents proving that Silvana is a minor, intellectually disabled, and has a mental age of 8 years. They reported that she was abducted, identified the kidnapper as Mohamed Ragab Abu Sari, and specified the place where she was being detained.

However, the court postponed the case from the 8th to the 15th, then postponed it again from the 15th to January 28. On January 28, 2026, the court issued a ruling of lack of jurisdiction.

By doing so, they violated the constitution and international human rights conventions that criminalize child marriage, criminalize sexual assault against minors, and criminalize kidnapping and forcing a person against their will.

Double standards

In contrast, there is a similar case involving a Muslim minor girl, a well-known case in Al-Salam village.

The girl admitted that the relationship was consensual; nevertheless, the young man was prosecuted because the girl was a minor, even if the relationship was consensual.

So how is a verdict reached quickly in one case, while Silvana’s case is left without a ruling?

The short answer: because she is Christian.

The tragic ending

Neighbors reported that Silvana jumped from the third floor, believing that her mother would catch her and that the nightmare would end.

Because she has the mind of an 8-year-old child, she thinks like a child.

The little angel fell to the ground, and her captors took her back inside the house. To this day, we do not know her condition.

What do we demand?

We demand Silvana’s return to her family.

We demand accountability for those who assaulted her.

We demand accountability for negligent judges and police officers.

We demand justice.

Everyone who signs this petition is demanding justice and the accountability of the criminals.

من هي سلفانا؟

هي فتاة مسيحية لديها قصور ذهني، وكما شخصها الأطباء فإن عمرها العقلي عمر طفلة تبلغ ٨ سنوات.

سلفانا تبلغ من العمر ١٧ سنة، أي أنها قاصر أيضًا.

ماذا حدث لسلفانا؟

شخص يُدعى ساهر محمد رجب ، مسلم وبالغ، استغل حالة سلفانا وعدم إدراكها، فاعتدى عليها، ثم خطفها وادّعى أنها زوجته، واحتجزها في منزله بالقوة رغمًا عنها وعن أهلها.

الموقف القانوني والظلم الواقع

عندما تقدم والد سلفانا ببلاغ إلى الشرطة، كان الرد: “بنتك مسلمة الآن، وهذا زوجها”، في إشارة إلى ساهر محمد رجب الذي خطفها واعتدى عليها.

وهنا يبرز السؤال:

كيف تتزوج فتاة قاصر؟ أليس هذا مخالفًا للقانون عالميًا، وكذلك للدستور المصري؟

وكيف تُترك فتاة قاصر ومعاقة ذهنيًا مع من اعتدى عليها، ليكمل جريمته دون رادع؟

هنا نرى مخالفة صريحة لبنود الدستور من قِبل الشرطة المصرية، وظلمًا لا حدود له.

تحرك الأسرة قانونيًا

تقدم الأب والأسرة إلى المحكمة، وقدموا أوراقًا رسمية تثبت أن سلفانا قاصر، ومعاقة ذهنيًا، وعمرها العقلي ٨ سنوات، وأبلغوا أنها مخطوفة، وحددوا اسم الخاطف ساهر محمد رجب، وكذلك مكان احتجازها.

لكن المحكمة قامت بتأجيل القضية من يوم ٨ إلى يوم ١٥، ثم تأجيل آخر من يوم ١٥ إلى يوم ٢٨ يناير، ثم صدر الحكم يوم ٢٨ يناير ٢٠٢٦ بعدم الاختصاص.

وبذلك خالفوا بنود الدستور ومواثيق حقوق الإنسان التي تجرّم تزويج القاصرات، وتجرّم الاعتداء على القُصَّر، وتجرّم خطف الإنسان وإجباره على ما لا يريد.

ازدواجية المعايير

في المقابل، هناك قضية مشابهة لفتاة قاصر لكنها مسلمة، وهي قضية شهيرة بقرية السلام.

الفتاة أقرت بوجود علاقة برضاها، ومع ذلك تمت محاكمة الشاب لأن الفتاة قاصر، حتى لو كان الأمر بالتراضي.

فكيف يُحسم الحكم سريعًا في قضية، بينما تُترك قضية سلفانا دون حكم؟

الإجابة باختصار: لأنها مسيحية.

النهاية المأساوية

روى الجيران أن سلفانا قفزت من الدور الثالث، وكانت تظن هذه الملاك الصغيرة أن أمها ستمسك بها وينتهي الكابوس.

لأنها بعقل طفلة في عمر ٨ سنوات، تفكر كطفل.

فسقطت الملاك الصغيرة على الأرض، وقام محتجزوها بأخذها وإدخالها إلى المنزل، ولا نعلم حتى الآن ما هي حالتها.

بماذا نطالب؟

نطالب بعودة سلفانا إلى أهلها.

نطالب بمحاسبة من اعتدوا عليها.

نطالب بمحاسبة المقصرين من القضاة والشرطة.

نطالب بالحق.
