Please sign my petition to save the 40 MPH zone through the Hedstrom Mill corridor. I have lived in this 40 zone for 26 years. Now, suddenly MNDOT has deemed it should never have been a 40 zone because a 'speed survey' was never conducted. Recently MNDOT has been conducting a speed survey and has since told the Cook County Hwy Dept to take down the 40 MPH signs. Shouldn't a speed survey include going door to door for those directly affected property owners in the area? No one made an attempt to talk to me. I challenge anyone to view my property and tell me I have enough site relief to safely exit onto The Gunflint if the speed limit is raised. Thank you for your time and understanding.
