Save the Manderson Town Park
The Issue
Town Meeting where the discussion took place.
Manderson has a long history. Part of that history is the town park that currently sits at 204 N Sherman Ave. This park sits on property that was donated to the town by the old school that once sat there to give the children of Manderson a place to play and for families to get together.
The Manderson Town Council wants to tear down the park because they want to make money off of selling it and they don’t think people use it. This is very much not true, as most residents know. The park is used almost every day by the families in the town. What we want is council to realize this park needs to be left alone, and taken care of by the town as is their job, and respected as one of the very few good things this town has to offer those that live here. Especially to the children that live here.
Please, show your support of the Manderson Park and its need to be respected, maintained and, most importantly, left where it is, sign below. We will present this petition to the council at the next regular town meeting (May 9th 2024), which we encourage everyone to attend so the council can see that this is not the right move.

Manderson tiene una larga historia. Parte de esa historia es el parque de la ciudad que actualmente se encuentra en 204 N Sherman Ave. Este parque se encuentra en una propiedad que fue donada a la ciudad por la antigua escuela que alguna vez estuvo allí para brindarles a los niños de Manderson un lugar para jugar y para que las familias reunirse.
El Ayuntamiento de Manderson quiere derribar el parque porque quiere ganar dinero vendiéndolo y no cree que la gente lo use. Esto no es cierto en absoluto, como saben la mayoría de los residentes. El parque es utilizado casi todos los días por las familias del pueblo. Lo que queremos es que el ayuntamiento se dé cuenta de que este parque debe ser dejado en paz, y el pueblo debe cuidarlo como es su trabajo, y respetarlo como una de las pocas cosas buenas que este pueblo tiene para ofrecer a quienes viven aquí. Especialmente a los niños que viven aquí.
Por favor, muestre su apoyo al Parque Manderson y su necesidad de ser respetado, mantenido y, lo más importante, dejado donde está, firmando. Presentaremos esta petición al consejo en la próxima asamblea municipal ordinaria (9 de mayo de 2024), a la que animamos a todos a asistir para que el consejo pueda ver que esta no es la medida correcta.
