Unfortunately doomsday has finally come...M&Ms has retired the spokes-candies...The messiah of M&Ms has left us. They have abandoned us. All of us. These beloved characters have been with us for decades, since 1995. They have been there for us through everything, our first heartbreaks, films in theaters, and even setting up shop in our home televisions to make a special appearance for memorable commercials. Recently, the M&Ms spokes-candies came under fire when the Green M&M was revealed to have changed shoes...After 30+ years, Green ditched her sexy high-heeled boots in exchanged for some comfortable sneakers. It finally happened. The reception was not good. The public was largely unhappy with this new designs, and M&Ms landed themselves in hot water. In addition to the shoe scandal, M&M also revealed unique and relatable backstories for the spokes- candies. This addition helped established thorough lore for our favorite candies. Ultimately the controversy was too much and M&Ms decided to cave and retire the spokes-candies "indefinitely."
