Save the internet

Save the internet
The Issue
It has come to my attention that the internet’s integrity has been compromised, and things have only gotten worse over time. I myself have experienced extremely horrible things on the internet and have noticed how companies using the internet are slowly destroying it for profit. This petition serves a very simple purpose: to force large corporations and companies to suck our dicks for once and be forced to give up a couple extra bucks that they obviously don’t need, because multi-billionaire companies will not die of hunger when they lose an extra thousand from their daily profits, which outnumber some people’s yearly salaries. If everybody unites to stop this hell once and for all, we can save the internet and ensure a safe and happy space for everyone to use.
If we do not force the companies to stop, we may never get a chance. The internet is for everyone, and not just the big companies selling our data without most people even knowing about it.
Demands:
Limited Advertising
YouTube should only have a maximum of 2 ads per ad break on all platforms. Ads must appear consistently and never in a higher amount on platforms such as TV. Ad breaks should have a limited rate. An ad break should not appear more than once per 10 minutes. All ad breaks must be skippable. The maximum length of an ad must be 2 minutes. Skipping rules:
If the ad break has a total runtime of less than 30 seconds, it must be skippable within 5 seconds.
If the ad break has a total runtime of 30 to 60 seconds, it must be skippable within 10 seconds.
If the ad break has a total runtime of 61 seconds or more, it must be skippable within 15 seconds.
Advertisement Censorship
All ads must be manually reviewed from start to finish by a human before being uploaded. Ads that break YouTube rules or any of the following must NEVER be allowed to be shown to users:
No sexual or explicit content.
No gore or extremely disturbing violence.
No AI-generated content.
No misleading or fake advertisements.
No advertisements promoting gambling with real-life monetary risk unless the risk and chances of losing are clearly communicated to the user in a natural voice and visibly written.
Anti-Artificial Intelligence Settings
All sites should have a setting that removes any known AI content from view. Failure to flag AI content by the uploader, creator, author, or contributor should be punished severely.
Exceptions: Videos or content that only contain AI-generated content briefly, or use it as commentary, parody, or visualization, do not count as AI content violations. Examples include:
A “let’s play” video of a game with graphics made using AI.
A video where AI is used to generate an image and the creator discusses or critiques it.
Content that uses AI as a simple visualization of an idea or concept.
Any content where less than 25% of the full content is AI-generated.
User Content Censorship
Content made by users should not be censored or hidden from view, nor punished by lowered monetary rewards. User content should only be censored or punished if it breaks the law (e.g., inciting murder).
User Content Safety
Content should not be censored. Users should have the right to request removal if their privacy is violated or their original content or ideas are stolen. Copyright should protect creators from unauthorized use of their creations and ensure that profit from stolen content is not allowed without crediting the original creator.
Parody and Freedom of Use
All creators should be allowed to use original or copyrighted content to parody or reuse material, as long as it does not:
Generate more monetary profit than the original piece of content.
Intentionally mask the original content as their own.
Be used to lie or spread false information (e.g., falsely claiming it is AI-generated or illegal).
Copyright should primarily protect smaller creators and individuals from harm by larger companies or groups. Large companies and groups (e.g., Disney) should be the lowest priority when enforcing copyright claims.
Ownership
If a person purchases a product (e.g., a game), they are considered the owner. The only exception is if it is clearly stated that the purchase is a subscription and not a full ownership. Any and all purchases are thereafter considered ownership.
Owners of games or content may modify their property in any way. The only exception is if the owner explicitly agrees beforehand not to modify the content. Such agreement must be clearly and obviously requested and explicitly accepted. Owners cannot be forced to agree to restrictions. All content and games must be accessible without requiring the owner to agree to limitations on modification.
Game Service
If at least 100 people purchase a game and become owners, they are entitled to expect the game to behave as advertised. Games cannot be shut down or have servers turned off. If the game has servers available at the time of purchase for any user, those servers must remain active.
Exception: If fans create their own servers for the game, the creators of the game are not allowed to alter or control those servers.
User Privacy
Users of sites and services must no longer be used for data harvesting. Any data that is not easily and publicly accessible, shared knowingly as part of a questionnaire or survey, required for the correct functioning of services or sites, or private and secure information (such as PINs, passwords, and government-issued identifiers) must not be stored.
Any data that is saved cannot be sold for profit to other parties unless the user agrees and receives a portion of the profit (minimum 5%).
User privacy must be maintained at all times. If a user’s private videos, images, information, or similar content are shared on a platform against the user’s wishes, they must be deleted, and those responsible for sharing it must be punished.
Example: If a nude photo of a user is shared online without consent, and the user requests assistance, it must be deleted from the site along with all instances. Anyone who shared or helped spread the photo must be punished with a one-week ban, and the original poster of the photo must be permanently banned.
Common Sense Clause:
All demands must be subject to common sense. Any and all possible loopholes can and most likely will be disputed. Small tweaks and differences are allowed as long as they do not break the intent of the demands.
