While budget cuts are necessary, closing a library branch that serves so many shouldn't be an option.  The Highland Branch Library is an important part of the Highland Park neighborhood.  From the toddlers who meet for weekly story times to the adults who depend on the computer access, from the students who need a safe and engaging place to go after school to the avid readers of all ages, the Highland Library serves our community and provides so many necessary services.  If you care about the future of the Highland Branch Library (or just love libraries and feel that none should be closed), please sign this petition and let your voice be heard.
