Save the Gingerbread Man (Green King) Market Drayton

The Issue

Today the community of Market Drayton have found out that Green King have decided to close The Gingerbread Man restaurant and wacky warehouse play barn. To say that we are gutted is an understatement.

Big companies do not care about the impact this will have on people's lives.

I personally can only use this restaurant and play barn with my disabled son because he is not comfortable anywhere else, we have visited since he was a baby (before he were fully aware of his disabilities) and that has led to it being a safe place for him. The thought of having no where to take him breaks my heart. He is accepted there, the staff have got to know him, his needs and support us while we are there. We are not the only family that feel this way.

We have elderly members of the community that visit a few times a week and it's the only time they get out.

The team of staff are a big part of people's lives and they don't deserve to lose their home, their jobs. It's so unfair.

We need to try and change the decision of Green King, we have a month to raise as much awareness as possible and collect as many signatures as possible.

We will be making contact with the company directly also and local council and MP.

Market Drayton can not afford to lose another asset.
