The Science is in....

"We don’t have to accept the Earth’s impending demise. We can slow the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss by working together. This is a reassuring wake-up call, but only if we respond quickly."

 

 

Rapid climate change and biodiversity loss are interrelated challenges that our world is currently dealing with. Instead of decades, we only have years to handle these existential dangers. Science shows us a better way to create a more sustainable and optimistic future for the Earth in published research from The Nature Conservancy and 12 peer organizations.

A future in which people and nature thrive together. What we do between now and 2030 will determine whether we slow warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius—the level scientists agree will avoid the worst impacts of climate change—while also conserving enough land and water to slow accelerated species loss. This vision of the future is achievable, and we must join together and put all our effort to make this vision a reality.
