I'm sure all of you will at some point have passed the beautiful oak tree by the car park on Cuckfield recreation ground.  Many of you with families will have watched as your children have climbed it, and some of you like us, may have photos of your children sitting on it as they have grown up.

The oak is due to be felled on a 5 day notice, with now 3 days remaining due to it being deemed unsafe (Monday 21st).  I hope you will join me in this petition to seek a temporary reprieve for the oak so that all options to reinforce it with further supports can be fully explored. This is the only chance we will get, once it is gone it is gone. 

At present it highly sturdy and will be easily able to withstand longer to explore these options.
