The Concordia Invitational Tournament (CIT) has affected the lives of thousands of students. Never before has an event brought such fierce competition paired with an unequivocal sense of fellowship and unification. With a rich history stretching back 71 years, generations have enjoyed this annual event. Beyond the guise of a simple athletic tournament lies a deeper community all united by the Gospel message. No other opportunity exists to bring our communities together and without it, future Concordia students lose this life changing experience.

Now with Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) and Concordia University Ann Arbor (CUAA)'s recent decision to forfeit the event following 2025, CIT as we know it is threatened to no longer exist. This leaves CUNE and CUC as the only remaining participants. 

This petition serves to show our Concordia System the impact and scope this competition has played in our lives. It stands as a testament to the importance of such a competition. 

By singing this petition, we are asking that CUW and CUAA return to the competition following the 2025.

We invite members from our remaining sister universities to join us as well. Let us cement and expand our beloved tradition of fellowship and camaraderie centered our shared Gospel message and love for Christ Jesus our Lord.
