Hello Everyone, I am both thrilled and humbled to reach over 500 signatures for this project. Thank you all so much for your help and support, and I can only hope that we can add to this wonderful movement.

Celebration aside, I wanted to share a quick update. About 3 weeks ago, the petition was posted in a column along with a short story about the cause in the Akron Beacon Journal. Thanks to this article and journalist Mark Price's generosity, I was able to get more signatures, and expand the issue beyond my personal sphere. From this article, I was contacted by a representative of Progress through Preservation who showed interest in the project and will work with me early next year. Not only are they a fantastic group of preservationists, but they are an established force of historical preservation in Akron, and will certainly be a great asset to the cause.

Now that I have 500+ signatures, I will be presenting it to the Akron Urban Design and Historic Preservation board in the next month. They are the first line of defense, as they are the first group to vote on the demolition permit. Beyond that, I will work with council and other groups to help prevent its passage.

Thank you all again, and stay tuned in the weeks and months ahead.

As always, please share, post, and get the word out!
