Many kids  have thrived in West Craven High School's agriculture education programs, where they've gained invaluable leadership and life skills through classes and the FFA. In Western Craven County these opportunities have been crucial for preparing our youth for success. Agriculture is more than just an industry here; it's a way of life deeply woven into the fabric of our community.

The proposed cut to the agricultural teaching position jeopardizes these essential educational programs and, by extension, the development of our future leaders. In a region sustained by farming, it's vital to equip our young learners with the knowledge and skills to carry on these traditions and innovate for the future.
