From April 2nd, First bus have changed their 4 bus route, meaning there will no longer be a direct service between Maidenhead and Heathrow Airport. 

As well as now needing to get two buses (Maidenhead - Slough, Slough - Maidenhead), the Maidenhead section of the journey has significant schedule changes. 

The current 4 route leaves Maidenhead for Heathrow Airport from 6am and runs half-hourly. The new bus needed to get to Slough begins just before 7am, and runs only hourly. The current 4 route bus is scheduled to leave Heathrow at 22:54 for the last service to Maidenhead (weekdays). Now, with the change at Slough required, the last bus to get to Maidenhead leaves Slough at 18:06. 

This is hugely restrictive for both those using the Airport and commuters, and will likely lead to many needing to pay for (more expensive) train journeys to get to the airport due to the timetables and lack of direct route.

Whilst the new schedule changes being imposed are based on demand, we urge First bus to reassess their plans, and offer those living in Maidenhead a direct service to Heathrow Airport. The schedule changes are due in a matter of weeks - so please urgently sign this petition to help us!
