Due to false accusations by Town administration and a couple residents of “zoning and abutter”, the Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club which is grandfathered; and the origin of Motorcycle hillclimbing which started in 1944 are in the unfortunate position of having to secure an attorney and go through the Monson Zoning of Appeals in order to reopen the hill and host events again.

We are asking for Monson residents to sign this petition in support of the Monson Hillclimb opening back up. This requires collaboration from the Town of Monson by way of providing a fair resolution and a clear path forward to get there.

We the undersigned residents of Monson, Mass., support the immediate reopening of the Monson Hillclimb, which is the pride of Monson.

We are asking the Town of Monson to collaborate effectively and efficiently with the Hillclimb without any further delay, so that the Hillclimb can reopen for business and events.

Although there may be a couple loud abutters, the amount of signatures on this petition demonstrates that WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, ARE THE MAJORITY. 

We love the Hillclimb, it is a beloved 78-year-old jewel in the heart of Monson that draws people from all over, and it is our pride. We want it back. 

Please work swiftly with the Quaboag Riders and their attorney to provide fair resolution and a clear path forward to reopening.
