Save Students' Future: Stop CBSE’s Unfair Crackdown on Dummy Schools
The Issue
Urgent Need to Address CBSE’s Unjust Pressure on 12th Class Students and Their NEET/JEE Aspirations
We, the students, parents, and concerned citizens of India, strongly oppose CBSE’s harsh crackdown on students who were previously enrolled in dummy schools. By de-affiliating dummy schools, CBSE has not only disrupted students’ education but also created an unbearable burden on those preparing for crucial competitive exams like NEET and JEE.
With the recent mandate forcing students to maintain 100% attendance in newly assigned CBSE-affiliated schools, students who were previously focusing on rigorous exam preparation are now being unfairly targeted. This move threatens the future of thousands of students who rely on private coaching institutes for NEET and JEE preparation. The conventional CBSE school curriculum does not provide sufficient preparation for these highly competitive exams, and forcing students into a rigid school system disrupts their focused preparation.
The Reality of NEET & JEE Preparation:
NEET (Medical Entrance) and JEE (Engineering Entrance) are among the toughest exams in the world.
Over 25 lakh students appear annually for NEET and JEE, with only a fraction securing top ranks and admissions into premier institutes.
Most of the top-ranking students rely on private coaching institutions, as traditional CBSE schools lack the necessary resources and advanced curriculum to prepare students effectively.
Competitive exams require undivided attention and focused preparation, which is impossible to achieve with CBSE’s new attendance mandate.
Without dedicated preparation time, students are at a severe disadvantage, unable to compete with their peers across the nation.
How This Decision Harms Students:
Increased Mental Stress: Forced attendance requirements create immense pressure, leading to anxiety, depression, and burnout among students.
Unfair Disruption: Many students were already preparing through specialized coaching centers. Forcing them to attend traditional schools full-time disrupts their study plans and jeopardizes their future.
Compromised Future Careers: With limited preparation time, students are at risk of failing to achieve the ranks needed for admission into top medical and engineering colleges, ultimately affecting their long-term careers.
Negative Impact on Society: Future doctors, engineers, and professionals are being held back from reaching their full potential, affecting the country’s progress and innovation.
Our Demands:
Immediate Removal of the 100% Attendance Mandate: Allow students to focus on their NEET/JEE preparation without the burden of compulsory school attendance.
Provide alternative solutions that support students rather than forcing them into traditional schooling models that do not align with their career aspirations.
Flexible Learning Models: Introduce hybrid learning options where students can study both through CBSE schools and private coaching centers.
Special Provisions for Competitive Exam Aspirants: CBSE should acknowledge the importance of NEET and JEE preparation and provide exemptions for students who require a different approach to their studies.
