The Town of Southampton is actively considering a major new development proposal that would dramatically increase the residential density on a property on County Road 39 bordering Southampton Village. This plan will result in millions of gallons of sewage, the destruction of local woodlands and hundreds of new vehicle trips pouring out onto one of the region's most dangerous and congested roadways each and every day. The proposed plan is for only half of the property so it has even more density development potential which the Town Board isn't even considering in its review.
