The South Bend Motor Speedway has been racing for more than 75 years and is the second oldest track in Indiana, next to Indy. This was the first racetrack I went to at the age of three. I can remember climbing the stairs to the grandstand and seeing the cars whiz by. This track deserves to be saved and placed on the historical registry to prevent its demise as a local landmark in South Bend, Indiana.

The speedway has a rich history in racing and has seen top NASCAR talent race on its track. It’s not just a piece of asphalt; it’s a piece of our community's heritage that connects generations of fans and racers alike.
