Super excited that after more than 600 days, minor league baseball finally returns this week! The Beloit Snappers open on the road Tuesday against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Appleton. The first Snappers game at Pohlman Field will be the following Tuesday, May 11th against the South Bend Cubs.
To help celebrate the start of the season, we're releasing some new Beloit Snappers concept logos we had made. They're inspired by similar alternate logos the team designed back in the 90's, which featured Snappy hunting or dressed as Santa Claus, for example. And while it's unfortunately too late to get any of these brought to life for this season, we hope the team considers ideas like these as a way to help boost merchandise sales down the road...
DR. SNAPPY
This special logo could be a fun way the team could help recognize healthcare workers who have fought so bravely against the coronavirus. You can see Snappy is wearing scrubs and a mask over his face, and holding a huge vaccine syringe instead of a baseball bat. Profits from the sales of this logo could be used to support local health charities.
MIAMI SNAPPY
What better way to celebrate the Snappers new ten-year partnership with the Miami Marlins than with a special Miami Snappy logo? This logo combines Southern Wisconsin and South Florida cool, giving Snappy some shades, a slick new hairstyle and hip threads to wear. Sure to be a top seller with both Snappers and Marlins fans!
ROCK STAR SNAPPY
We're humbled our River Rockers ideas has received such great support among Snappers fans, and we wanted to recognize that with a special rockstar version of the original Snappy logo! In this logo Snappy sports a red mohawk and holds a guitar instead of a baseball bat... ready to jam for fans along the Rock River all summer long!
U.S.A. SNAPPY
There's hopefully going to be a lot for fans to be thankful for in the months ahead, and it would be great to celebrate that with a special U.S.A. Snappy logo. You can see Snappy is dressed as Uncle Sam with a big top hat and American flag over his shoulder. Perfect for the Fourth of July or any other patriotic holiday during the year.
So what do you think? Which of these logos is your favorite... any you would like to see the team consider making in the future? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
