The best sports news of the year so far is the Beloit Snappers are going to stay "the Snappers" for the 2021 season! Regardless of what the team chooses to do after that, we're at least happy they have decided to take some extra time to hopefully get their rebranding decision right.

We remain convinced that sticking with Snappers (or rebranding to something like "River Rockers") would be the best move for the team, but assuming they go a different direction we hope the organization still finds a way to honor the past 40 years of Beloit baseball tradition. With that in mind, we've designed some new Beloit Snappers concept uniforms-- perfect for "Snappers Sundays" going forward, or if the team ultimately decides to change its name back after a couple seasons (like the Quad Cities River Bandits did after its failed "Swing of the Quad Cities" experiment between 2004-2007).

One of the great recent uniform trends is teams returning to their classic look, with a few modern upgrades. The Milwaukee Brewers are probably the best example of this: after a couple decades trying out different uniform styles the team revived its popular "ball and glove" logo full time last season. The Beloit Snappers could do the same thing... bringing back a look inspired by the uniforms the team wore during their glory years in the 1990's.

Probably the first thing you'll notice about our concept uniforms is navy blue returns as the primary color, instead of green (however our set also includes a green alternate uniform). Also the lettering switches back to the original "hobo" font, and the retro hats are brought back as well (all navy blue, as well as a green bill and green crown alternates).
