Lottie's List - supported by Skerningham Woodland Action Group.

Ten year old Lottie was devastated when she found out what could happen to Skerningham.  Lottie, who lives in Darlington, visits Skerningham woodland and farmland regularly with her family, and has grown to love it dearly.  She has learned about the wildlife, trees and plants there and has seen foxes, deer, hedgehogs, birds, toads and all manner of wildlife.   Lottie started her own petition and has written in her own words why she doesn't want this area destroyed, which she attached to a gate in Skerningham, with a pencil, for people to sign.

This petition has been created by Skerningham Woodland Action Group (SWAG) on behalf of Lottie and concerned residents of Darlington.

Lottie and concerned residents of Darlington demand that the first phases of development at Skerningham be halted.  Residents are objecting to planning applications 25/00441/FUL, 24/00772/FULE, 22/00146/OUT and 25/00174/OUTE. Darlington's 'Jewel in the Crown' must be saved for wildlife and people, particularly future generations.  This beautiful area, rich in biodiversity and valuable food growing fields, will be lost forever if this unnecessary development goes ahead.

A climate crisis is upon us, and our trees, hedgerows and soil must be preserved.

Lottie's voice needs to be heard and listened to, along with many other residents of Darlington.
