For over 40 years, Skate Along USA has been more than just a roller rink — it’s been the heart of Gwinnett County weekends, birthdays, school nights, and first crushes. Now, it’s set to close for good on August 24. And the community that grew up lacing up skates under its lights is heartbroken.

Generations have rolled through those doors — parents who once skated there now bring their kids. It’s where friendships started, teens found their freedom, and families made lasting memories. Losing it isn’t just about losing a business. It’s about losing a space that made people feel like they belonged.

The owners have said thank you. The customers have said goodbye. But many of us aren’t ready to give up. Skate Along USA deserves a second chance — and Gwinnett deserves to keep the places that made us who we are.
