The Issue
The students, parents and community members of Silverado High School, are asking for your support in saving our JROTC program.
JROTC at Silverado is more than just a class. It’s a place where students grow into leaders. It teaches discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and service. For many of us, it’s been a safe space to find purpose, build confidence, and connect with others who want to make a difference—in school and in life.
But it’s also where we’ve made some of our most meaningful memories.
From early morning drills to weekend community service, color guards to leadership camps, every moment in this program becomes a memory we carry with us. We remember the uniforms, the friendships, the challenges we overcame—and the pride we felt when we rose to meet them.
Taking this program away would erase a powerful source of growth, leadership, and belonging from our school—and it would stop future students from building those same unforgettable experiences.
Please sign this petition to show the school district and board of trustees that JROTC matters. Help us keep this program alive—not just for those of us here now, but for every future cadet who deserves the chance to grow, lead, and make their own memories.
