After giving LGM a year and a half to do right, the course is now worse than ever.

Hello everyone. To those of you who have faithfully continued to give Shandin Hills GC your business, I sincerely thank you and applaud your patience. To those who refuse to pay top dollar to play such a disgraceful, unplayable golf course, we are not mad at you. Advice was given to halt this petition to give LGM a chance to do a better job; unfortunately, they have not. If you have been around, you will notice there is never a general manager or superintendent on site. Irrigation issues that, under the management agreement with the city, are LGM's responsibility are being ignored, and a continuous blame game is underway. The irrigation system at Shandin is over 50 years old. Staff witnessed prior superintendents covered in dirt daily to keep the course beautiful. The current superintendent does not have the ability to walk down the cart path, let alone get his hands dirty. 

There is good news... without the aid of LGM, a group of supporters joined forces to aid Shandin. A deteriorating fence was replaced by a local fencing company for free. Constituents banded together to voice concerns, and the city allocated money to repair the dangerous driving range nets and netting poles. Also, the city council voted unanimously to approve a forensic audit of LGM and the current situation. We must, however, keep the pressure on. We must show the city staff and city council how many of us disagree with the choice to give a no-bid contract to manage OUR taxpayer property to owners of a privately owned competing golf course. A golf course with a history of having an opposite and opposing view of our "exclusively public" culture. We can talk in our inner circles all we want, but signing your name has a much more powerful response. Please help us. Sign this petition and share with those around you. You do not have to be a golfer to be impacted by Shandin Hills GC. 

Use your knowledge of the history of San Bernardino. Just imagine the loss of green space and what it would be replaced with once the golf course has been devalued enough to be gotten rid of....
