Thank you all. We had over 100 people sign our petition in just 24 hours. I'm am so grateful that there is a community here in San Bernardino that is willing to stand up and protect what is ours. However there are still many more out there who don't know about whats going on. We need to send this petition to all of the golfers and community members who use and care about Shandin Hills. 

It's always been amazing to me how many people who use the course are unaware of the fact that it is owned by the city of San Bernardino. So many people don't know the story of how it came to be and the very fortunate circumstances that keep it a golf course and not real estate. We have lost so many courses in our surrounding areas over the years. No matter how the cards fall, I truly hope all of this attention accumulates into something special for our course.

I, like many of you love this golf course. The game of golf is so special to us all and it deserves the upmost respect. Seeing puddles of water in our bunkers is an example of the disrespect and neglect by the current management team. Its not an easy fix, but it is a simple fix... pump the water out, and rake the bunkers. All of these problems the course is currently facing, like high temperatures and high winds, have always been around. The irrigation on the course has been messed up for years. The only difference now is who is in charge and how the staff is being directed. 

The new GM is great, but it would seem that his hands are tied. It pains me to see the picker broken and the cart staff handpicking the range. It pains the members to pay monthly and arrive to practice only to see an empty bucket of balls. This is no fault of the staff. The management team just prior always had contingencies in place and work with the staff to make sure the operation ran smoothly. If you ask the staff now, they will say the only time they hear from LGM is to call and complain about the mess they got themselves in. 

There is light at the end of the tunnel however. Let's continue to spread the word and show up with the number of supporters needed to show the city council how much we care.
