Truly disgusted and extremely surprised that Obama would allow this.

70% of Americans oppose horse slaughter, and President Obama made a campaign promise to permanently ban horse slaughter and exports of horses for human consumption (horses can be sent to Mexico and Canada), that documentation of animal cruelty, slaughterhouse stench, fluid runoff and negative community impact exists, it is taxpayers that will bear the costs!
Equipment used in the transport of horses and to stun them is made for cows. Horses often end up trampled and injured, even dead, while being transported 24 hours or more with no food, water, or rest. Horses are often slaughtered while still consciously alive (2,500 or more horses met their fate this way last year alone =( )

Let's save these horses! We were able to save them for so many years, so let's not give up!
