SAVE SEA GIRT AND MANASQUAN FROM OFFSHORE WIND INDUSTRIALIZATION.

SAVE SEA GIRT AND MANASQUAN FROM OFFSHORE WIND INDUSTRIALIZATION.
The Issue
This petition is to stop and/or put a moratorium on the industrialization of our shores and landfalls in Sea Girt and Manasquan. We need a comprehensive Environmental Impact Study to be obtained and conducted by independent research. We want to halt any further construction of the wind farms on the NJ Shore until we can be positive if there are negative effects and potential long term harm to or communities and our environment. We have formed a coalition to stop this now!!
The proposed project by Atlantic Shores hasn’t been fully studied and hasn’t addressed the following issues:
1. Current destruction of our Marine life with emphasis on Humpback Whales
2. Environmental damage caused by the construction and long term operation of wind turbines.
3. The increase in cost of electricity to all NJ residents
4. The visual pollution of the turbines that will negatively impact our tourist trade all along the NJ Coast that will result in massive monetary loss to he state of New Jersey.
5. No current planning for the decommissioning of the wind turbines when they reach their expiration.
