REALLY GOOD NEWS HEADLINE:  Sacramento County Halts Reopening of Sailor Bar Road to Address ADA Compliance and Community Concerns.  (See entire article here).  https://hoodline.com/2025/03/sacramento-county-halts-reopening-of-sailor-bar-road-to-address-ada-compliance-and-community-concerns/

Thank you to everyone who showed up at the Peaceful Protest, Parks Commissioner's Hearing, for writing, donating, putting up yard signs, wearing your Friends of Sailor Bar Hats, and for the many other efforts you have made to keep Sailor Bar accessible to humans, dogs, horses, and wildlife by keeping cars out.  Thank you for always being respectful in every circumstance.

I'm grateful to Park Director Liz Bellas, and District 3 Supervisor for their plan to involve the community in the planning of the Accessible Nature Trails, and for their leadership.  And I'm grateful to the LOVE that makes all things possible.

Let's see what unfolds these next few months before packing up your yard signs while we work together to cultivate goodwill and trust with our Sacramento County leaders.  It's a new day for the Friends of Sailor Bar!

You're invited to a gratitude potluck at the Tudor House 10120 Fair Oaks Blvd., Fair Oaks this Tuesday at from 6 - 8 p.m.  Given the County's change in plans, the FOSB has also changed plans in a positive direction.  Please RSVP to ProtectSailorBar@Yahoo.com

Your Friend of Sailor Bar Forever,

Jodi
