Please attend the very important upcoming PUBLIC meeting that was not on the Early Notification memo you may have received from Regional Park Director Liz Bellas.

I just received confirmation that the February 4th Sac. County Disability Advisory Commission meeting has been confirmed and is from 4:30 - 7:00 at 700 H Street, Sacramento, California.  Liz Bellas will share her ADA Concept Plan for Sailor Bar Trails.  Bruce Forman and Paul Miller will also be allotted 30 - 40 minutes to present their plans in behalf of Friends of Sailor Bar and the Sacramento Audubon Society.

This is the only opportunity that the Friends of Sailor Bar has to publicly present the Accessible Nature Trail Phase I plan that was endorsed by the Sacramento County Disability Advisory Council.  And the Accessible Nature Trail (All People's Trail Plan) to be presented by Sacramento Audubon President Paul Miller.  

We are happy that Liz Bellas has taken the initiative to move forward with ADA Trails at Sailor Bar.  However, we have not been given the opportunity to see the Park Director's plan.  As you know, the Friends of Sailor Bar has actively advocated for Accessible Nature Trails at Sailor Bar.  We want to ensure that that the Parks ADA Trail Plan is practical for people with and without disabilities, equestrian riders and dog walkers to safely enjoy the peaceful harmony of Sailor Bar and the wildlife without the intrusion of motor vehicles.  

Your attendance /input is critical to the best possible design. Perhaps a hybrid of both. Please share this information and encourage others to attend.
