People and wildlife thrive in natural spaces that are safe, clean, and accessible.
Sacramento County Regional Parks plans to bring motor vehicle traffic into the heart of Sailor Bar's thriving community of people, plants, and animals despite overwhelming community and organization opposition.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Unless we show up and speak out, Regional Parks will open gravel roads at Sailor Bar that have been closed to motorized vehicles for 15 years. Wildlife needs a habitat that is safe, clean, and intact to exist.
Please attend a meeting of the Sacramento County Disability Advisory Commission focused on ADA trail concepts for Sailor Bar by Liz Bellas, Director, Sacramento County Regional Parks, Bruce Forman, Friends of Sailor Bar member and retired Department of Fish and Wildlife Manager, and Paul Miller, President of the Sacramento Audubon Society. All people, with and without disabilities deserve to enjoy nature.
