Save Sacramento

The Maloof family have been the majority owners of the Sacramento Kings of the NBA since 1999, and during that time have benefited from the loyalty and passion of fans of the team and the people of Sacramento. An aging facility and struggling economy have strained the relationship between the owners, the fanbase, and the city's citizens.

Despite these conditions, the loyalty and passion of fans and citizens has contributed to astonishing energy and dedication by public and private interests to secure the future of the franchise in Sacramento. The Maloof family, however, has shown through recent actions that it is no longer committed to continuing the mutually beneficial relationship between the team and the city. Supporters of this petition ask that the Maloofs do the right thing and sell the team to owners who will return the loyalty and passion of the people of Sacramento in kind, and will give the city the commitment it deserves.
