The City of Santa Ana put forth a Resolution not to renew the lease with River View Golf and turn the property into a parkland.  River View Golf is zoned Open Space/Recreation and is open to the public

·         River View Golf is an important part of the community.   Last year, the golf course was utilized by over 100,000 people of all ages and racial backgrounds. It is a low-cost facility that provides affordable golf where working class people, seniors and youth can enjoy the game of golf. Seniors and youth play at a discount. 

·         The golf course is already open space and the putting green is free for anyone to use.

·         The City is not creating new open space by turning the golf course into parkland.
