My children are and have been students of the choral program at Randolph Middle School, and they have benefited greatly from this education. The music program has provided them with invaluable skills such as discipline, teamwork, and creativity. Unfortunately, budget cuts threaten to eliminate this essential part of our school's curriculum.

Music education is not just an extracurricular activity; it is a vital component of a well-rounded education. Studies show that students who participate in music programs perform better academically and develop critical social skills (source: National Association for Music Education). Losing this program would be a significant loss for our community. There would be a huge gap for the IB students who begin music in elementary and will be given an opportunity to participate at the high school level.  

Please join me in urging the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Board to preserve the music program at Randolph Middle School. Sign this petition to ensure that future generations can continue to benefit from the rich educational experiences that only music can provide.
