Save Rancho Duarte Golf Course: 

This petition has been created to show our support of the Rancho Duarte Golf Course.  The golf course is located in the city of Duarte California.  The course is a short 9-hole executive golf course with a driving range, clubhouse, bar and restaurant.  A developer is planning to remove the golf course in favor of creating a boat and RV storage facility.

Who is impacted:

Residents of the city of Duarte. 

Children of the county of Los Angeles.

What is at stake:

The golf course is home to many tournaments for youth due to it's size and features.  This course is perfect for teaching children the game of golf.  The facility is currently the home of the San Gabriel Junior golf league and tournaments are also held there by the southern california golf association junior club.  Losing the golf course and replacing it with a boat and RV park would devastate the surrounding local area.

Why is now the time to act:

The development plan would need approval by the city council of Duarte in order to amend the mix use development zoning.  We need to act fast to collect as many signatures as possible in order to convince the city of Duarte not to support rezoning efforts.
