Shri Ram-setu (Śrī Rāmasetu) is also called as Setu-Bandh or Nala-Setu or Dhanush-Koti Teerth. Shri Ramsetu was built 12,000 years back  by lord  Sri Rama `s army in order to cross the ocean to reach Lanka and to save his princess Sita. It has been the marvel of  man made ancient civil engineering technology and science.

      in 2017 ,The U.S.based ``Discovery Communications" owned  Science Channel ,calling it a ``Super Human Achievement  ' providing Scientific Evidence to Ramasetu a man made bridge between Srilanka and India

 

Rama Setu, also known as Adam’s Bridge, is a chain of limestone shoals that stretches for a distance of about 30 miles in the Palk Strait, which separates India and Sri Lanka.  In 2018 , NASA admittedly stated that ``the  chain of islands and coral reef stretches across the southern end of the strait suggest that  , the “bridge” may be the remnants of a true land bridge that once stretched between India and Sri Lanka built by Rama .

First of all we will see how the sentiments of Hindus are deeply attached to this bridge on sea built by Lord Ram and how it has great religious importance for Hindus and Historical-importance to whole mankind. Ram Setu is one of the rare structures that serves as a bridge between mythology and history. In the Ramayana, the route Rama and his army took to get to Sri Lanka was through the Rameshwaram bridge, also known as Nala Setu.

      The story of Sri Rama is a wonderful story !! Sri Ramachandra was the incarnation of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu, is one of the great men who gave birth to India. Even the most ancient historical world leader !!. The strongest archaeological evidence available to us to prove Sri Ramachandra as a historical figure and Sri Ramayana as history is the names 'Sri Rama Sethu. 

 In the story of Ramayana, while Lord Rama was in exile, Ravana kidnapped Sita and took her to Lanka. After Hanuman finds out about Sita's trail, Lord Rama leaves for Lanka with his ape army to fight Ravana. You have to cross the sea to go to Lanka. .Sri Rama to go to Lanka with an army of monkeys

Rama Setu , built by . Nala , the son of Vishwakarma , is a marvel of ancient civil engineering technology and science. It is of great spiritual and historical significance and is a sacred tirtha in the Sanatana Dharma. Apart from the Ramayan which has emphatic references to the construction of Setu Bandha in 85 slokas in a separate sarga in Yuddha Kanda, Mahabharata also refers to the continued protection of Nala Sethu following the command of Sri Rama. Kalidasa’s Raghuvamsa also refers to the Setu of mountains. So does Skanda Purana , Vishnu Purana, Angi Purana, Brahma Purana refer to the construction of Rama Setu.

The evidences - textual, epigraphic, scientific marine-archaeological explorations document Rama Setu or, Setu Bandha as an ancient monument. 

And simultaneously it has great religious and historical importance which can't be ignored by any Hindu. It is told in scriptures one gets fruits of pilgrimages of other sacred places only if s/he visits and see the great bridge Shri Ramasetu over sea built by lord Ram. Now a days, Indian govt. is planning to destroy this bridge of great religious and historical importance and it is adamant to transgress and suppress the sentiments and religious rights of Hindus. That is the memory so beautifully adopted by the Geological Survey of India in its logo, which describes India in this line etched at the bottom of its insignia -- Aasetu Himachal, meaning India is spread between the Bridge (Ram-setu) and the Himalayas. That is the Ram Setu Bridge on the southern tip of our motherland, an identity of the nation, under destruction now.
