The Coalition to Save Historic Rahway River Park
Mar 23, 2015
Want to truly make a difference? The best way to ensure that a 5000 seat multi sport stadium is not built in Rahway River Park is for us all to show up at this week's Union County Freeholder's meeting. ALL of us. With signs, with our voices, and with our fists shaking. Because allowing these construction plans to move forward in essence will be giving our local government permission to: WASTE our hard earned tax money. INCREASE human traffic, cars, exhaust fumes, noise, and we can only imagine unruly youth, into all hours of the night. DECREASE the safety and relaxed nature of our park. DISRUPT the habitat of our sensitive wildlife, especially for our nocturnal residents. INCREASE the discharge of pollutants into our nearby waterways. RISK hazardous environmental outcomes from usage of artificial turf. We need your support IN PERSON to win this. So please accept our invitation and stand with us at the Union County Freeholder's meeting this Thursday, March 26th at 7pm: www.facebook.com/events/848671588525343/ Simply click 'join' so we know you're coming, then spread the word. Share this link, invite your friends and family, and let's ensure the best possible future for our generations to come. And come prepared with speeches! The best part is you will each get a chance to speak face to face with the Freeholder's. Also be sure to come early because the location is an intentional deterrent by the County with it's lack of easy parking. But I'm sure you agree, one night of inconvenience is a worthwhile trade off for an unthinkable future. Lastly, if you haven't already... LIKE OUR FACEBOOK PAGE: www.facebook.com/saverahwaypark We will be bringing all signatures, all comments, and Facebook screenshots with us to the meeting. Together let's hit a home run!! Sincerely, The Team The Coalition to Save Historic Rahway River Park
