Save Penn Cricket Club and Reinstate Our Beloved Ground

Save Penn Cricket Club and Reinstate Our Beloved Ground
The Issue
My name is Sukhi Padam and I’m the club captain of Penn Cricket Club, a cherished institution in Penn, Wolverhampton, UK. I am not just a player; I am an ardent supporter, mentor and guardian to all our players and the community that surrounds us. The potential loss of our cricket ground is not just a personal blow to me but also to everyone who has ever been part of this club.
Cricket has always been more than just a sport for us. It's about camaraderie, community spirit, and shared passion. Losing our cricket ground would mean losing an integral part of what makes us who we are as individuals and as a community.
Penn Cricket Club has been home to hundreds of players over the years, fostering talent and promoting sportsmanship in Penn, Wolverhampton. The loss would be immeasurable - both in terms of sporting heritage and communal spirit.
The moment I imagine to see the cricket ground go away from us feels like we are being let down by those who should be supporting local sports clubs like ours instead. We believe that with your support, we can make them reconsider this decision.
We're calling on all lovers of cricket, supporters of local sports clubs, residents in Wolverhampton - anyone who believes that local communities should have access to their sporting heritage - to join us in saving Penn Cricket Club's ground.
Please sign this petition today so together we can save Penn Cricket Club for ourselves and future generations!
