Problem

Thousands of peacocks across India are being discovered dead under mysterious conditions. There is an increase in peacock feather selling. This beautiful nature's creation is facing deadly fate for its feathers and meat. The bird is large enough and visible to become an easy target. 

This nature's marvel, highly celebrated bird in our culture, the national and magnificent bird is in a desperate and precarious condition for survival.

If no action is taken, Indian Peacock or Indian Peafowl will become extinct in the wild in a very short time !!

Solution

• Sign this petition.
• By signing this petition, you are demanding the government to make selling and trading feathers illegal. 
• Stop buying peacock feathers. 
• Ask feather sellers if the feathers were shed naturally.
• Question the intent of suspicious persons roaming near peacocks and peacock habitats. 
• In Maharashtra, call toll free 1926 to report any irregularities. 

Please don't be a mute spectator and spread awareness about this issue.
