Yes, a City Govt (BBMP) violating about 15 laws, and committing contempt of the High Court order dated 14/7/2021 in WP 38401/2014. Sounds surprising or shocking? Including BBMP's own circulars and the Govt of Karnataka's Orders prohibiting violation of Lake Buffer Zone.
BBMP officials and engineers must be either under immense pressure from vested interests, or must be colluding with them; are they on the take? Else, why should they be risking their careers, and the wrath of the courts, to do unlawful acts?
Is this murder of Due Process and Public Accountability by BBMP Commissioner, corruption to benefit Real Estate & Builder Mafia?
What we are witnessing is a naked surrender of Public Interest to Real Estate Builder Mafia interests!
A Road project was erroneously proposed by BDA in RMP 2015; It was positioned on top of a LAKE which was not included in the map, because a crook had obtained a court decree using forged Land Tribunal Order. The revenue dept left the lake out.
But later on, as a result of Court orders, the lake was restored in Revenue records as a Govt Lake. The encroacher's claim has also been stayed by the Hon High Court of Karnataka, HC order dated 2/72018 in WP 26097/2018.
Hence, the status quo of the lake having thus been restored, the Road Project becomes null and void, since all written laws do not permit road construction on top of lake and on lake buffer zones, and Rajakaluves.
In the light of the restoration of the lake status, the BDA in the draft RMP 2031 maps, have re-included the lake and its buffer zone very clearly, and since the laws do not permit road proposal, THE BDA HAS CANCELLED THE ROAD PROPOSAL. And in any future RMP, the road project is legally impossible.
DOES THIS EXPLAIN THE HURRY BY BBMP TO CONSTRUCT A ROAD?
The Real Estate Interests and Builder Mafia have perhaps compromised the Govt of Karnataka and BBMP officials, as they stand to gain the most, because the FSI and FAR value of their properties will multiply if the road project is executed?
BMP OFFICIALS AND ENGINEERS ARE COMPLICIT AND PERHAPS CORRUPTED TO CARRY OUT THIS ILLEGAL TASK?
IS THE Chief Minister of Karnataka COMPROMISED? AFTER ALL, HE IS THE BENGALURU DEVELOPMENT MINISTER, AND THE BBMP REPORTS TO HIM!
