Save Pan De Azucar Island

The Issue

Tambaliza Island, also known as Pan De Azucar island, is located in the Municipality of Concepcion, Iloilo. Home to Mt. Manaphag and pristine clearwater beaches, the island is a popular tourist destination for beachgoers and mountaineers alike. As the largest of the 16 outlying islands of Concepcion, the island is also home to around 12,000 Ilonggos, whose primary source of livelihood is fishing and farming.

The island and its inhabitants is currently being threatened with irreversible damage and destruction because of an impending mineral resource exploration that would be conducted by TVI Resource Development Inc. despite vehement opposition from the locals. Currently, there are already backhoe, excavators, drills, and other mining equipment in the area.

Help us protect this beautiful island. Sign the petition to stop the impending damage and destruction to Tambaliza Island NOW.
