Greetings, to all, my name is Miranda Collier, and I’m also known to many as Silence. I am a lady of leisure, and I started this petition with support of social justice advocate and clinical social worker in training Mariely Martinez and other community peers of the victim. We want justice for her death and to get systematical LEGAL protection for our WOMEN!!! 

The poverty rate is high; our women need protection and to be able to feel safe, whether it is working side jobs at night or part time jobs to meet ends to survive in New York city. This petition is made to bring awareness and bring justice for the loss of a very close friend, 27-year-old nursing student and sister CHRISTINA PURDIE, who sadly her life was taken from her in the most horrifying and shocking way. was last seen on May 24th, 2025, she was also known to the ladies as IDOL. Her body was recently found DISMEMBERED in pieces, placed a trash bag and left on the side of the JACKIE ROBINSON PARKWAY on AUGUST 3, 2025. Her SKELETON was found by the department of THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION and was announced on the ABC news August 6th and on PIX11 news August 20 2025 and CBS NEWS she was just recently announced again in the NEWS 4 DAYS BEFORE I made the petition.

It’s hard enough for most of us to even go into some of these places and do what labor work we have to do to survive. It’s even worse doing it without knowing if it will be our last day on earth. Every day as our hard-working women, hardworking students and women of leisure from being missing and the wave of violence. 

THIS INJUSTICE IS HAPPENING BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE DEHUMANIZED US WOMEN NOT KNOWING WERE MOTHERS DAUGHTERS SISTERS AUNTS COUSINS AND MOST OF ALL HUMAN. ITS NOT FAIR THAT WE ARE IGNORED AND LEFT BEHIND BECAUSE OF OUR OCCUPATIONS or GENDER. NOT KNOWING THE WHY? WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO EXPOSE OURSELVES TO PSYCHOLOGICALLY AND PHYSICALLY ENVIRONMENTS BECAUSE WE'RE STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE LIKE CHRISTINA.

 THE FACTS ARE THAT BEING A WOMEN N IS HARD ENOUGH WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO FEAR FOR OUR LIVES IF WERE JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE!!!!!! THE NATIONAL HOMICIDE DATA SHOWS THE BLACK WOMEN ARE MURDER AT A RATE OF 4.4. COMPARED TO 1.3 IN OTHER ETHNICITIES. THERE ARE 700,000 BLACK BROWN AND LATINO WOMEN WHO ARE MISSING RIGHT NOW WITH NO ANSWERS FOR ANY OF THEM AND OUT OF THAT TREMENDOUS NUMBER AT LEAST 350,000 HAVE WORKED A PART TIME GIG / IN THE NIGHT LIFE FOR SURVIVAL REASONS. WE JUST WANT TO BE VALUED AND TREATED AS YOU WOULD ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING WITH A JOB AND WITH RESPECT FOR BEING A WOMAN. NO MATTER WHAT POSITION OR PATH WE CHOOSE TO DO WITH OUR LIVES. WE WANT PROTECTION FOR OUR WORKING WOMEN AND WE WANT JUSTICE FOR IDOL BECAUSE HER KILLER OR KILLERS ARE STILL OUT THERE!!!!!!!!
