We the undersigned are vehemently opposed to Kirklees Labour plans to reduce the size of wheelie bins by a whopping 25%, reducing them from 240 to 180 litres. At a time when we expect another 5% (or close to) increase in Council Tax, and bins are already overflowing. The people of Kirklees are being penalised once again by this Labour Cabinet. Kirklees residents deserve better with ever spiralling Council Tax bills.

The knock-on effect is we will see an explosion in the number of rat infestations in all our neighbourhoods which will have a massive impact on public health.
