Hello Friends and Neighbors,
The petition is working!!! Keep sharing!
Your signatures, your voices, and your involvement are making a real impact. Without you, none of this would be happening.
After more than two years of the City and Council working on this “Vision”—and voting on it—we are only now being invited to a meeting to “learn” about it? AFTER it’s already done?
Agreement signed by LACMTA & City of Glendora: April 2023
Completion date: December 2025 (sources finished early—July 2025)
Mark your calendar: Community Meeting
Monday, Sept. 30, 2025 – 6:00 PM
Bidwell Forum
The timing is troubling: it was vaguely mentioned weeks ago, but details only appeared yesterday after hours. It’s not on the City’s event calendars, not on the City app, not on Instagram or Facebook. Many of you are only hearing about this because you signed our petition—how is that acceptable?
Other cities notify residents through water bills. Why not Glendora? If they can reach us for money, they can reach us for this.
If fewer than 2,500 residents (just 5%) attend, the City will again claim “low turnout” as proof of “no interest.” But the truth is simple: residents were never properly notified (AGAIN)
We were not included in the ideas or concepts of this “Vision.” We did not vote on it. Why not? These are major changes with major impacts. The lack of respect and representation is exactly why this petition began—and why it continues to grow.
Residents are saying one thing loud and clear: We are not being represented. If this continues, change is not only possible—it’s probable. Council’s responsibility is to represent us, not push their own agendas. This is Our Town.
And now—SB79 has been updated. Cities over 35,000 residents can allow 85-foot buildings. Don’t let anyone spin “low turnout” as “no concern.” The reality? 99.9% of residents we talk to say: “Heck NO—where do I sign?”
This is OUR town, our homes, our investment, our future. Do not think your voice doesn’t matter. Your vote counts more than ever.
This is also an opportunity: to work together with neighbors, friends, and professionals to shape Glendora’s future. But we must stay engaged - because when we leave it to the City alone, we get projects like Avalon. We've learned our lesson.
I hope to see you on September 30 at Bidwell Forum. Bring your neighbors—90% of our town is still unaware. Let’s change that.
Together, we will be heard.
