Our high school’s athletic identity is at a pivotal moment with the recent proposal to change our beloved Viking logo, colors, and uniforms. While we appreciate the fresh perspectives that come with new leadership, it’s essential to recognize the deep-rooted significance of our current branding.

As taxpayers, alumni, athletes, students, lifelong residents and contributors to this community, we feel strongly that we should have a voice in this process. Our Viking logo is more than just an image; it represents the spirit, tradition, and legacy of our athletics program. It has been a source of pride and unity for generations of students, families, and supporters.

By signing this petition, we express our desire to veto the new logo and preserve the identity that means so much to us. We do not like the new logo as pictured in the petition and believe it does not reflect our community's spirit. 

We believe that any changes to our school's branding should be made with the input and support of the community. We respectfully request that the decision-making process include feedback from all stakeholders, ensuring that our new logo, if necessary, remains a Viking. This will honor our past while embracing the future.
