I come before you today, seeking your impactful support in urging the Governor of Florida to remove Gene Trent and Matt Susin from their positions in the Brevard County School Board. As members of this community, it is both our right and responsibility to hold our leaders accountable, especially when their actions or inactions contribute to troubling issues in our school system.

A recent revelation by the media has starkly and conclusively exposed the false information broadcasted by Mr. Matt Susin concerning a grievous incident involving a teacher and principal condoning and participateing with underage students within the county's education system to have an open house party where alcohol was being served, drugs were being used, there were assaults of individuals and a firearm was present in the principal's home. This investigation was manifested in a deeply troubling 40-minute video that pulls back the curtain on the unacceptable attitudes and actions of our school board members.

The extent of this misconduct puts the wellbeing and safety of our young students at risk, a clear violation of the trust we place in our educational leaders. It is our moral duty to ensure that our educational institutions are run by individuals who prioritize the safety and development of our students above all else.
