We, the parents, family, friends and community call on St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust and the Diocese of Nottingham to halt proposed staff cuts at St Elizabeth’s Catholic Primary School and all the other well-managed schools, and instead address the Trust’s £11 million deficit through fair, transparent measures that do not damage successful schools.

St Elizabeth’s is financially stable and should not lose staff to cover central mismanagement. Cutting roles would severely impact class provision, pastoral care, and support for SEND pupils, harming children’s education and wellbeing. We urge decision-makers to protect frontline staff, review central spending and leadership costs, and ensure that any recovery plan prioritises pupils, teachers, and support staff rather than imposing disproportionate cuts on schools that have balanced their budgets.
