Save Our School Path: Keep SW Robert to PHS Path Open

Save Our School Path: Keep SW Robert to PHS Path Open
The Issue
Last week, the path that our neighborhood kids use to walk to PHS and Kamiak was fenced off by developers and will be permanently closed.
This path connects SW Robert Street to the PHS gravel trail and is used by dozens of students to walk to school every day.
- Alternate routes add 1/2 mile or more to the walk to school.
- The path has been in continuous use for 20+ years and appears on city maps
- The path is the central connection between northeast Military Hill and the high school trails. It is key to neighborhood walkability for recreational walkers/runners as well as students.
At the city meeting when the new development was discussed, the developers committed to work with the school district to keep the path open. We call on the developers, the city, and the school district to work together to SAVE OUR PATH!
*Is the path on private property? YES. The only way to save this path is for the city & the school district to work with the developer to keep his commitment.
**After signing, a screen pops up asking for a donation, but it has nothing to do with this petition (it's for the platform). No donations needed. BUT--please leave a comment by clicking "write a comment" after signing. We want to hear why this path is important to you!!**
